GREENSBORO, NC – The Pallas Foundation is pleased to announce the renewal of a $24,000 Mullen scholarship for students at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s (NC A&T), Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education, and Outreach (CREO). This scholarship program provides full tuition to two students, supporting the development of future leaders in the field of cybersecurity.
The scholarship, named in honor of Adm. Mike Mullen, former Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff and a staunch advocate for leadership diversity, will be awarded to two students affiliated with CREO, focusing on cybersecurity and related fields. This program reflects the Foundation’s commitment to fostering the next generation of cybersecurity experts, playing a critical role in safeguarding national security.
Sue Gordon, President of the Pallas Foundation’s Board of Directors, expressed her enthusiasm for the ongoing partnership with NC A&T: “Supporting students at NC A&T through the Mullen Scholarship is a key part of our mission to develop skilled leaders in cybersecurity. The Adm. Mullen Scholarship at NC A&T is overseen by a selection committee of cybersecurity professionals, including Dr. Sarrafzadeh and Dr. Gina Bullock. The scholarship criteria emphasizes GPA, certifications, academic achievements, leadership, community contributions, and future potential. The application portal will be widely publicized across the university and among CREO faculty affiliates.
In addition to financial support, scholarship recipients will be invited to participate in leadership and professional development events coordinated by the Pallas Foundation.
